Coffee County- Severe flooding damaged roads in seven southeast and south central Georgia counties.

The streets in Coffee and Atkinson counties were completely covered with water last week. Many roads were flooded, making it nearly impossible for buses to travel on roads.

Governor Perdue declared a state of emergency for Atkinson, Bacon, Berrien, Brantley, Clinch, Coffee and Ware Counties so state money can be used to repair damaged roads.
