ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Dixie League of Albany is expanding to offer a girls softball league this spring.
The league will be open for players ages 7-12 and the cost to register is $95.00.
The games will be played at Ken Gardens Park.
Registration just started this weekend and the response has been very good.
Dixie Albany president Tommy Presley said. "Of course there is no feeder program for girls softball around in our area northwest Albany. so, we thought it would be a good opportunity to have some girls that have never played who want to play. To come out and play some softball."
Players can register for softball and baseball this week at 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Dixie Albany ballpark and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m..
