ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  The world's biggest airline-- and the only one that serves Albany-- is again raising fees to check your luggage.

Delta Air Lines increased the charge on a domestic flight by eight dollars for the first bag and seven dollars for the second.

Because Atlantic Southeast Airlines flights in Albany connect to Delta flights in Atlanta, the costs will apply to people flying from Albany.

The new fees start immediately and customers aren't happy about it.

"I'm hoping they wouldn't because the way the economy is and it's bad enough that people have a hard enough time getting a job, and then knowing that they're not making that much and then to turn around and pay for more expensive stuff that's not necessary," said Erica passenger Erica Maldonado.

Travelers who bought tickets before today will be charged the cheaper rate of $15 for the first bag and $25 for the second.

You can get a discount on the fee by checking in and paying online.
