Veterans speak out about possibility of war

March 14, 2003

Albany- One of the state's largest American Legion units, Post 512 in Albany, celebrated its 84th birthday Friday night.

Many of the 525 members have been part of the Legion for more than 30 years. They say as veterans, they will support the president.

Retired Marine Percy Chastang says he feels for the men and women who have been deployed because they are just waiting not knowing what is going to happen.

Chastang says he's also concerned that the troops will have to fight in such extreme weather conditions in the desert.
