VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Former Lowndes football star Greg Reid chalked up handfuls of honors in his time with the Vikings but his latest honor is the most impressive. Reid has been named Georgia's AAAAA player of the decade by Georgia High School Football Daily.
Reid helped Lowndes win two state championships and was the Georgia Player of the Year and a Parade All-American as a senior in 2008. He was the only player in class AAAAA in the decade to be selected All-State three times.
Reid just finished up his freshman season at Florida State. He made his presence known leading the country in yards per punt return.
