ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  A distraught man shot himself in the parking lot of Colquitt Regional Medial Center in Moultrie Friday afternoon.

Police were called to the hospital parking lot after a man was seen sitting in his pickup truck with a gun. Police tell us the man threatened to shoot himself and as officers tried to talk him into handing over the gun, he fired.

He was immediately rushed inside the hospital for treatment of his wound.
