ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  A man was hit by a van and killed on Highway 133 south of Albany Friday afternoon.

49-year old Dennis Andrew Martin worked for Albany Tractor Trailer.  He was putting fuel into a tractor trailer.  The trucker had pulled to the side of the highway because he ran out of diesel.

Dougherty County Police say a van driven by Bryan Reddick of Albany sideswiped the trailer and struck Martin.  Reddick was not hurt.  Officers say charges are pending.
