Valdosta - South Georgians are hoping the rain stays away for Valdosta's annual Azalea Festival.
The events start Friday night with a parade down Patterson Street followed by entertainment and fireworks on VSU's front lawn. Saturday's events will kick off with a 5K road race and festivities in Drexel Park.
"We'll have something for all ages," said Joann Griner, Event Coordinator. "There will be a Kid's Zone for the children, all kinds of arts, crafts, and food."
The Festival will end with a concert featuring Tanners Lane Saturday night in Drexel Park.
