Two Valdosta State basketball players have earned All-Conference honors for their play this season.
Senior guard John Prise from Blakely, is a first team all Gulf South Conference selection.
Prise, who was discovered playing intramural basketball at Valdosta State, led the Blazers in scoring , rebounding and in steals this season.
The Blazers, who just missed qualifying for the Gulf South tournament finished 19-7 this season.
Lady Blazer Courtney Parker was a second team pick for the Gulf South Conference's women's basketball team.
The sophomore from Lowndes High in Valdosta also has a 4.0 grade point average and has earned district All-American Academic honors.
