ALBANY, GA (WALB) – It's a new year full of new year's resolutions.

For many people hitting the gym and loosing some of the holiday pounds is a top priority, and gyms are offering special deals.

Its a new year, and for many that symbolizes a new beginning and a time to start over.

If you're peddling away the pounds or pumping iron.

Exercising more and loosing weight is Ruth Fryer's resolution.

"I'm starting today," said Fryer.

The gyms are gearing up for new members.

"We are 24 hours 7 days a week and we have 1,200 world wide locations," said Brandy Baudoinajoux, Manager & Personal Trainer.

At Anytime Fitness in Lee County, they're trying to help members battle the holiday bulge.

"We're not only going to show you the equipment but we're going to do your fitness assessment so we're going to know where you are so you know where you can go," said Baudoinajoux.

"I go to the gym off and on," said Fryer.

Fryer says her on and off routine ended on December 31st.

"I want to be committed to it I saw some pictures of myself last night at a new years eve party it got me inspired to make this my New Years resolution," said Fryer.

Special deals this new year are a draw for some looking to resolutions a reality.

"No enrollment first month free and 10 percent off of monthly rates, and that's good until Friday," said Baudoinajoux.

"The way I feel on the outside doesn't match the way I look on the outside," said Fryer.

Every gym is different,  the deals at Anytime Fitness end January 8th.
