VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The Valdosta State Lady Blazers showed no rust after not playing a game for over two weeks.
But a strong second half by Nova propels the Sharkes to an 67-59 win over the Lady Blazers Wednesday at the VSU Complex.
The Lady Blazers led 34-26 at half but a 19-4 run by Nova to start the second half put the Sharks in the lead to stay.
Leschelle Matthews led the VSU women with 12 points.
The Lady Blazers are now 4-7 and on the road Thursday at Albany State.
Game time is 5:00 p.m. at the HPER Gym.
