ALBANY, GA (WALB) –South Georgia leaders in the Southern Christian Leadership Conference say turmoil with the national organization won't affect their work.

The nation board chairman and treasurer are fighting a move to remove them from office during an investigation into possible financial mismanagement.

Today, four new officers for the Albany SCLC Chapter were sworn in by Judge Willie Weaver.

Georgia SCLC President Reverend Samuel Mosteller says most of the group's work is done on the local grass-roots level. He says the national leaders just need to work out their problems among themselves.

Georgia SCLC President Reverend Samuel Mosteller said "If we are looking to unseat and having those challenges, sure it's an issue. But I would say it is minor. Not as serious as it would be in some other organization."

John White was installed the Albany SCLC President, Reverend Rance Pettibone the vice president, Linda Beamon the Secretary, and Juanita Anderson the Treasurer.
