Albany- Dougherty County School Board members unanimously voted to make Lamar Reese Elementary School a fine arts magnet school.

Children already zoned for the school will continue to go there, but next year 85 new slots will open up for students countywide.

Students at Lamar Reese already study a full-time arts curriculum. The board members say the change will not cost the school system any additional money.
