ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  As you shop the Albany mall for those sweet Christmas deals, you may smell a sweet aroma in the air. Odds are they'll be coming from the new Cinnabon in the mall.

The bakery officially opened Wednesday morning and a couple of folks were already waiting. The 25-year old establishment is known for their huge famous cinnamon rolls.

Frank Ross and his wife Sarah are from Southwest Georgia but used to drive all the way to Atlanta or Tallahassee to enjoy a Cinnabon. The couple decided why do that when they can open their own at home.

"About a year and a half ago we had a desire to do something that we thought would be a wonderful thing which is to try and locate one right here in Albany which you might say is middle ways between those locations. So it was an opportunity for us to stop traveling so far and be part of something right here we can enjoy locally," said Ross.

This is the Ross' first business venture and they hope it's a sweet one. The new bakery is around the corner from Bath and Body Works in the mall in the JC Penny wing. Just follow the cinnamon aroma.
