ALBANY, GA (WALB) – It's a Christmas wonderland at Chehaw. The park has come alive with its annual Festival of Lights, a holiday tradition in Southwest Georgia.

This year there's more to see as drivers make their way through the park. After visitors check out the lights, they can take a break and ride on the train or roast marshmallows by the fire. Kids are probably most anxious to visit Santa.

"This is Christmas. Everybody out here is saturated by the Christmas spirit if you will. People are just jolly. Most of our employees our on this end have the little elf hats and it kind of goes with the theme of Santa and Santa's house out here so it's just fun," said Chehaw Guest Services Supervisor Clint Murphy.

Santa will be in town Wednesday night also but then he'll be gone to get ready for Christmas. The Festival of Lights display will last until January 2nd. It's open between 6 and 9 p.m. everyday except Christmas and New Year's Day.
