ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  It's a remarkable story in this season of giving. A little girl sacrificed all of her birthday gifts to make sure other children have a good Christmas.

Hannah Sims turned 10 on November 11th. At her birthday party she asked guests not to bring gifts for her, but to donate to Toys For Tots instead.

The Marine Corps picked up a box full of donated toys Monday afternoon along with an envelope of money. They presented Hannah with the Commander's Award. Her reason for making the birthday sacrifice is simple.

"It feels really good to give presents to lots of children and they can be very, very happy," said Sims.

The donated toys will be given to children in the pediatric ward at Phoebe and other hospitals. Hannah is no stranger to giving away her gifts. She did it for the Children's Miracle Network in the past.

She's also raised money for cancer patients and the Flint Riverquarium.
