ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Some big names were in town for a big smackdown Saturday night.

The Albany Civic Center was bustling with people excited to see wrestlers battle it out in the ring. This evening's show featured some WWE superstars including West Africa's Kofi Kingston and The Big Show.

People we talked to going in the doors say this brings an economic boost to the city and it's an early Christmas gift for some.

"It's a good thing and it's a Christmas present for a lot of people," said Shane Waller who attended with his son. "It was fairly priced for a lot of people and it's a really big thing for kids."

WWE keeps their performances G-rated. More than 16 million people tune in to watch WWE programming every week.
