A fresh start in the water wars between Georgia, Alabama and Florida.
Governor Sonny Perdue met with Alabama Governor Bob Riley and Florida Governor Charlie Crist in Montgomery Tuesday.
It's their first meeting since a federal judge ruled Georgia's use of water from Lake Lanier is illegal.
Governor Perdue said, "It's been a learning curve, but I think absolutely the most productive and candid and will full discussions that we've had during these seven years. And it gives me a great deal of optimism."
In fact, after the two-hour sit-down, the governors said they're more optimistic than ever before that they can reach a water-sharing agreement.
