ALBANY, GA (WALB) -Tony Zenon needs to make room for another award in his trophy case; the Deerfield Windsor senior is the Orthopaedic Associates player of the year.
Dr. Tim Darden made the presentation to Tony. This season Zenon led the Knights to a state runner up finish chalking up 2,268 yards and 27 touchdowns on the ground. Zenon also had 2 touchdowns in the GISA All Star game last weekend. Zenon's football career at Deerfield Windsor is over but next season expect to see Zenon playing college football. He's looking at several D1 programs including Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, and UAB.
"A few colleges are looking at me but I just sent out my senior highlight tape hopefully over the next month or two I'll get some more calls" said Zenon.
Zenon leaves Deerfield Windsor with the most rushing yards all time. In his career with the Knights he chalked up 5,688 yards on the ground and 73 touchdowns.
