Hahira, GA (WALB) –  To many South Georgians, there's nothing like having a real Christmas tree.

Cazandra Bishop has bought her tree at the same tree lot in Hahira for 23 years. This year, her little boys picked out their own Christmas tree for their first time.

She says her children have been up since 7:00AM, asking to go to the tree farm.

"We love the smell of it. It makes it smell like Christmas in the house with a real tree," said Christmas Tree Shopper Cazandra Bishop.

The tree farm manager says the best way to keep your live Christmas tree green and beautiful is to never let it run out of water.

Also keep the tree away from air vents in your home because it'll dry it out.
