Albany - The Lets Make a Bid auction brought in thousands of dollars last weekend, but $20,000 less than last year.
The 18th annual live auction on Saturday was hosted by the Albany Museum of Art and WALB TV. The total money raised was approximately $60,000. Last year the auction raised more than $80,000. The museum had a smaller number of merchants donating items, probably due to the economy.
All proceeds go to the museum's operating budget.
Auction item bids ranged from 45 dollars to $8,000.
