ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Autopsy results confirm an East Albany woman died of multiple stab wounds.

The man charged with killing 58-year old Johnnie Williams made his first appearance before a Judge Wednesday morning.

24-year old Carlos Mitchell is charged with murder, possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, aggravated assault, and burglary.   He was denied bond.

Williams son found her on the kitchen floor of her Whiting Drive home about 12:30 A-M yesterday.

Mitchell was still in the home covered in blood. He lives less than a block away.

The family thinks robbery was the motive.
