The Albany Humane Society is getting a makeover thanks to some help from a national humanitarian group and national dog food company.
By Christian Jennings - bio | email THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) – Downtown Thomasville's biggest holiday event, Victorian Christmas, starts Thursday night.
Work is already underway to transform downtown Thomasville for the event, which benefits the Humane Society.
Wednesday workers laid down covers and set up cages for ten dogs, ten cats, and five puppies who will be offered for adoption.
The Humane Society's adoption center will be set up inside the WALB News 10 Bureau on Broad Street.
"They've all been spayed or neutered and had vaccines and they're ready to go to their new home for Christmas," said Director Joyce Patterson, Thomas Co. Humane Society.
16 animals were adopted during last year's Victorian Christmas event.
