ALBANY, GA (WALB) –The wife of former Downtown Albany manager Don Buie returned to Albany Tuesday afternoon and pleaded guilty to theft charges.
Shanon Buie surrendered to law enforcement, and entered her plea to three misdemeanor charges of theft in a Dougherty County court room. She was not sentenced. Prosecutors say she agreed to testify at her husband's trial next week.
Buie was indicted for conspiracy to defraud, and theft. Prosecutors say she cashed four ADICA checks from her husband for $2600.
Shanon Buie was released on 15-thousand dollars bond.
