ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Albany businesses team with visitor bureau officials to get more guests to stay overnight in town for the holidays.

They are inviting people to shop and relax with a special holiday package.

The package includes a stay in one of 8 hotels, breakfast, two spa treatments, two movie tickets, and a twenty dollar gift.

The price for the package averages around $150, depending on the hotel you select.

Convention and Visitors Bureau Lisa Riddle said  "We're providing people with the opportunity to come to town and spend the night, and get a little bit extra more for coming to Albany, along with their shopping. Because we know the people in the Southeast are coming here to shop for Christmas anyway."

The holiday package is good through January 3rd. For more information, call the Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau at 317-4760.
