ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Two people in the downtown theft case pleaded guilty Thursday.

Tim Washington and Nicole Brown are now expected to testify against Don Buie at his trial later this month.

Washington, the former Dollar Square owner, pleaded guilty to making false statements and theft by conversion.

Nicole Brown, Buie's former girlfriend, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud a political subdivision and theft by taking.

Don Buie's wife, Shanon Buie, is also charged in the case.
