ALBANY, GA (WALB) -A home invasion leaves one Albany couple shook up. Albany police responded to 1311 East Tift Avenue around 5:00 Thursday morning.

The couple that lives at the home says two men, with ski masks broke into their home while they were sleeping. They say the thieves busted through the door with a sledgehammer.

The couple said they hid inside their closet when the thieves pulled them out, forced them on their bed,  and put a gun to their heads.

They say the men even went through their bible to steal money used for tithing. They also say the thieves ransacked their whole bedroom and pulled out dresser drawers.

The couple says the thieves got away with about $100 and some change. Albany police have not arrested a suspect.
