ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A new downtown manager could be hired early next year.

The position is now being advertised on state and national Web sites. The city hopes to generate a strong pool of applicants and find the right person to tackle the challenges downtown faces.

Two panels, one that includes members of the community will review finalists.

Leaders hope fill the job as soon as February.
