ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Police are questioning someone after a teenager was shot during an attempted armed robbery in East Albany.

Police used flashlights to look for evidence in the Dunes Mobile Home Park off Mobile Avenue where 19-year-old Mejia Vicente Cruz-Eduardo was shot about seven o'clock Tuesday night.

A man with a gun approached him as he worked on a car in his yard and demanded money. When Cruz-Eduardo told the man he had no money, the suspect fired twice hitting Cruz-Eduardo once in the stomach.

Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.
