ALBANY, GA (WALB) – We all know you can save a little green on Black Friday, but, did you know you can help save up to three lives by giving a little red - blood that is?

Thousands of people donate blood in our area each year, and their generous gift has helped save countless lives.

Many of you joined WALB and the American Red Cross by donating to help kick off this year's winter holiday season by giving the gift of life.

"There are too many people out there that need the help, whether they're sick or accidents, particularly during the holidays," Terry Morris, Blood Donor.

The blood drive just wrapped up about 20 minutes ago, Albany wasn't the only location.
