Two killed on GA Highways in first 48 hours of travel

ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  In the first 48 hours of the holiday travel period two have died on Georgia's Highways.

Since Wednesday at 6:00 PM, 611 drivers have crashed on Georgia roads. There have been 162 injuries in those crashes. The fatality were in Fulton County and West Georgia.

The Georgia Department of Public Safety estimates more than 3,500 crashes during the travel period which ends Sunday at midnight.
