ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A suspect in two violent Albany home invasions is a step closer to facing justice.

New details tonight in the case against 23-year old Joshua Demery.

On Wednesday The Dougherty Grand Jury indicted him on armed robbery and aggravated assault charges.

Police say he broke into homes on Cedar Avenue and Sands Drive over the summer and robbed and pistol-whipped his victims.

"Certainly we want to make sure that everyone can be safe an secure in their homes and certainly this type of conduct would not be tolerated, we're going to prosecute it to the fullest," said Greg Edwards, Dougherty District Attorney.

The victims told police there were two robbers, but Demery is the only suspect indicted.
