Albany-- Senator Chambliss' Washington, D.C. office had an alarming threat Friday.

Around noon time, the Senator's office received an envelope containing a white powdery substance, the envelope was opened by a staffer, who immediately implemented proper procedures and the area was secured.

Chambliss says no one in the office was injured, and that the substance was ruled out as a "threat."

The Senator added that these types of threats still exist, post 9-11.
