Albany-- Southwest Georgia's brightest young scientists show off their award-winning experiments at Darton College Friday.

The best middle and high school science projects from around the region competed for a spot in the state science fair. Ashley Roberts experiment on sugar crystals won first prize at her Moultrie middle school, "I was going to do sand but my teacher said sand might take a long time so I choose crystals."

28 out of the 128 projects on display will be selected to compete in the state science fair in April. The top two experiments will go on to the international science fair in Ohio.
