Civil Rights Institute gets a boost

By Ben Roberts - bio | email

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The city will give the Albany Civil Rights Institute a total of $150,000 over the next three years to pay a new executive director. City commissioners gave the deal final approval Tuesday night.  The museum opened a $3,000,000 expansion last year, but attendance and donations are down. The new director and board came up with a new marketing plan they hope will change that.
