AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - You may think it is cliche for coaches to say the team that wins the second half wins the game.
Georgia Southwestern proved that true in their 56-52 win over Albany State Tuesday night at the Storm Dome.
The Rams stormed out to a 36-21 halftime lead.
The Hurricanes after a likely spirited halftime talk from coach Mike Leeder came out and held the Rams to just 16 second half points for their first win of the season.
Albany State is 0-1.
The GSW women are 2-2 after a 99-60 win over Truett-McConnell.
