ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Tuesday night, Albany City Commissioners approved an extra $583,000 for the Code Enforcement Department. The money will pay to demolish 76 dilapidated structures. Another 50 buildings are tied up in the court system waiting for demolition approval. If everything goes perfectly, all those structures could be destroyed by June.
