ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Another Albany convenience store was hit by smash and grab thieves.

About one o'clock Monday morning two masked men smashed through the front door of the Express Lane on Gillionville Road at Lockette Station with a hammer.

They destroyed the electrical box behind the store first, trying to silence the alarm.

It didn't work.

The crooks dashed in, grabbed lottery tickets, and ran out.

The lottery tickets have been cancelled and are worthless. But the store had to pay hundreds dollars for a new electrical system and doors.
