AFD responds to fire

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -   Units of the Albany fire Department are responding to a fire at 306 Seventh Avenue.

Elgu Williams and his son Elijah were in the home when the fire started.

Debbie Baggett, who works across the street, helped rescue the son who didn't want to leave the porch of the house.

Albany Fire investigators suspect that a space heater caused the fire.
