Ocilla- Shortly after a P.E. basketball game was over Thursday morning, 14-year-old Ricky Hall complained of dizziness. As he left the gym, the middle school student collapsed outside.

Faculty members started CPR and called paramedics. They couldn't revive him, and he was dead by the time they got him to the hospital.

Riverbend Volunteer fireman, Shane Land, was one of the first to get to the scene. Land says, "When I heard the news, I rushed to see what happened. All of the authorities came together and we started administering CPR. We did as much as we could to save his life."

Counselors spent the day at Irwin County Middle School to help students. An autopsy will be done to determine what killed Ricky Hall.
