Albany -- Temporary employment agencies forecast an improved job market this spring in Albany.

People looking for temporary jobs are filling out applications daily during tough economic times. Manpower says South Georgia companies tell them they will be hiring additional employees between April and June.

Manpower Branch Manager Liz Barry said "The survey we've done for the quarter that begins in April is looking a good bit better than last year. Ten percent of employers we surveyed are expecting to add staff. Nobody is expecting to cut staff. So we think in a couple of months things will be looking strong."

Liz Barry says temporary employment this January and February was better than last year. Manpower has 150 temps working jobs right now.
