VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - High School Football The past two state champions from AAAAA meet up Friday night when Lowndes visits Camden County.
The two schools have won five of the last six state championships.
Friday's game will be a rematch of the state championship game from 2007 when Lowndes beat Camden 10-0. As a 2 seed the Vikings will be on the road and Lowndes head coach Randy McPherson knows knocking off the defending state champs after a long bus ride won't be an easy task.
"We haven't found any weaknesses yet but hopefully we'll find a way to move the ball on Friday night. They've got a very tough defense. Our kids are ready for the challenge they really are" said McPherson.
"They've got great speed. They're well coached, they've got great athletes and they're always tough". Lowndes and Camden County kick off at 7:30 Friday night.
