VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Michelle Thompson scored 21 points, leading Valdosta State past Edward Waters, 64-55, Monday night, improving the Lady Blazers to 1-1 on the season.
The Valdosta State men hit 17 threes as the Blazers defeated Carver Bible 122-79 in the season opener.
Ricardo Lewis made six threes, on eight attempts and finished with 19 points. Christian Hunter finished with five threes and finished with a game high 20 points.
Billy McShepard finished with five dunks and 16 points.
The Valdosta State men will host St. Thomas on Friday at 8:00. The women will host Eckerd on Saturday at 6:00.
