VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –Valdosta police say they're close to making an arrest in a Friday night shooting.

A 22-year old man was shot in the stomach around 11 p.m. in the parking lot of Andy's Place and Andy's Wings and Things.

Police won't tell us the man's name but they do say they have a suspect in the shooting.

“I can tell you we are preparing to file charges against the suspects on the Andy's incident,” said Cmdr. Brian Childress, Valdosta Police. “We have identified the suspects in that case and we will be filing charges if not today probably tomorrow."

Investigators don't think the Friday shooting is related to last night's mass shooting the Hudson Dockett public housing project.
