ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Tifton's Israel Troupe waited three years to make a big play for the Georgia football team.

With A-J Green out for this week's game against Kentucky and his status for the Georgia Tech game unknown, it will mean Israel Troupe and other Georgia receivers will have to step up in his absence.

Israel Troupe caught a 50 yard touchdown pass on the play after Green's injury.

And the former Tift County Blue Devil had a spectacular diving catch in the second half.

Troupe says his play against Auburn will help his confidence heading into Saturday night's game against Kentucky.

Israel Troupe said . "It is a great confidence builder. I am just going to go out and take it day by day. Practice hard and see what happens on Saturday.

Mark Richt said. "We have got some guys who can make some plays. If these guys keep running the ball like they have been, we are going to be okay."

Georgia tailback Washaun Ealey has been named the SEC's freshman of the week.

Georgia will host Kentucky at 7:45 p.m. Saturday and the game will be on ESPN2.
