ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A well known TV personality made a special stop in Albany Thursday, and he came bearing gifts.

Chad Brokaw from the Alltel Wireless commercials made a stop in Albany to present the Boys and Girls Clubs with a $1,500 check.

Chad says he enjoys getting away from the commercial set.

"Shooting commercials is kind of like sitting on the set all day and you do your thing, but the cool thing is when they actually send me out, and I go to all these towns I never I'd go to before, and meet people I never thought I'd meet before,"

The Director of the Boys and Girls club says the money will help purchase program supplies, healthy snacks and other things for all the kids to use.

The Boys and Girls Club serves 4,000 kids in southwest Georgia.
