ASU pauses to remember Vets

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Faculty and staff at Albany State paused to honor those who have served in the armed forces. During the ceremony Wednesday, National Guard Captain Michael Bryant said the US should make sure our military is the best trained, prepared, and equipped in the world.

He says we should remember those who fought for peace and now rest in peace so that we may have peace. Bryant is proud of his service and glad that others stop to recognize people who have served.

He said, "It makes me feel as though I have served for the right things and come back home and know that I'm appreciated means the world to me." For those who weren't fortunate enough to make it back home, TAPS was played in their memory.
