ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany State believes they will face their toughest test yet in the SIAC volleyball title at Kentucky State University this week.

The Lady Rams are going after a ninth straight conference crown.

Albany State will be one of the tournament favorites with a 15-1 regular season record against SIAC opponents.

Coach Robert Skinner says the season has not been as easy as the record would indicate.

The coach says he has made several lineup changes during the season.

When you have been on top as long as the Lady Rams volleyball team has in the conference, Albany State knows they are going to get the best match from every team they play this week.

Robert Skinner said. "Even with the challenge we feel real confident that we can go out and do a good job this weekend, this week. We believe we can win a conference championship for a ninth straight time. We just believe in our hearts it is going to happen for us."

Albany State opens the SIAC volleyball tournament against Lane College on Wednesday.

The championship match is scheduled for Friday.
