VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –We now know the identity of a homeless man murdered outside a Valdosta business.

36-year-old Ventura Ortiz's body was found Monday morning by an employee of Gallego's Paint and Body as he opened the shop.

The owners allowed Ortiz to sleep in a covered area outside the business.

Police say Ortiz had visible wounds but they won't say how they think he died until they get back the autopsy report.

If you have any information that could help the investigation, call Valdosta Police.
