Albany- Students from eight high schools competed in a model bridge building contest. They constructed models using balsa wood and glue.
After weeks of work, they put their structures to a strength test. Many used computer software to design bridges and test them before the competition.
The first place award was a $100 cash prize, second place was $75, and third place winners took home 50 bucks.
